On your left just after the start is a lava pond, shoot the crystal on the far side and jump over to find a double damage icon! 2 - The second secret is accessible only if you don't blow up the lump of rock on the second floor. Hit the button on the raised level that moves the transport and when it stops against the wall, blow it up to reveal a pair of IR goggles through the gap. 3 - Find the room with the two large cogs and drop a grenade roughly between them, a hole will result from the explosion and you can nip down and pick up an adrenaline pack. If you're lucky the grenade-lobbing Gunner down the passage will make the hole for you. Hopefully you won't have started them moving when you get here as it is easy to get squashed 4 - Activate the tracks with the big switch in the observation room, rush down and take a ride on the cart, duck to get a ride through the narrow tunnel and drop off to pick up the armour. Don't fall into the mineral crusher, otherwise your trousers won't fit anymore! 5 - There's a room with three black crates, don't destroy the one attached to the hoist mechanism. Later on in the crane room hit the switch and the box will end up over the grill. Now shoot it to put a hole in the floor, drop down and pick up the bandolier. Mission 2 Thaelite Mines 1 - Going down in the main lift there are two floaters that pop out from gaps in the side of the shaft. Kill them and then go back up in the lift, in one of the gaps where they came from is a fractured wall, blow it up to find a health pack in the niche behind. 2 - Up where you need the security guard is a Gunner, behind him is a wall that you can blow up, inside is an ammo pack. It's guarded by a man, but his back is turned. The floor below can be shot out, be careful. 3 - Find the chain gun on a rise and continue, walking past the oncoming carts, cross the passage on the track and drop down. There is one floater to kill and you can pick up a quad damage for your reward. Get back up by hitching a ride on a cart. 4 - After you've defeated the tank commander look up at the pillars around the floor and you should find a square switch, shoot that and a hole in the wall appears in which you'll find a collection of health packs and a silencer. Mission 3 Tectonic Stabiliser 1 - Outside the door to the airlock, inside the room with the water are two pipes. On top of them is a double damage bonus. It can be a little tricky to jump to and you can't see it very well, but it is up there! 2 - Once you can get inside the locked off chamber, there's a suit of armour under the water, hardly the best secret but they all count! 3 - In large room with the pipes and pumps there's a computer console beeping, the switch for it is behind a vertical pipe where you can see the water running through, shoot that and behind the wall is a defensive drone for your delight. 4 - SECRET LEVEL! When the countdown begins as you trigger the final switch, start running for the exit. When you reach the room with the big blue whirly structure, watch for the small explosion! A pipe running across the wall will fracture and inside is the entrance to the secret level. Jump into the pipe and head towards the ladder to get out of the frying pan and into the fire! On the secret level you can pick up the chainsaw. Mission 4 Eastern Warehouse 1 - Below the broken monorail is the entrance to the first secret. You need to turn the power off to get in, then just drop down to pick up lots of health and the invulnerability pack. You then drop down into a room with two guards and some ammo and emerge back near the start. 2 - In a room of boxes, when you go up through the big doors on the lift, rocket jump up to the dark gap where there's a blue light and pick up a juicy health pack 3 - In the storage room just off from the area with the electrified water is a crate with one of its sides down, jump up, duck down and climb in to pick up a pair of IR glasses. 4 - Near the end of the level look out for a gap under the ramp next to a pool of water, swim across and jump inside to pick up some armour around the corner. Mission 5 Waterfront Storage 1 - In the very large storage area with all the crates, around the back of the room, is a drop in which you'll find the beloved BFG. A black crate gives away the location and you can shoot that to pick up an extra energy cell. 2 - In the same area you should see a track markings on the floor and at one end is a crate transport, along the route is a health pack up on top of a high box. To get it, either rocket jump up or activate the transport and jump on it for the ride. 3 - Through the caves, beyond the two blue life form scanners in the sides of the walls is a passage. In the corner is a medical pack and behind that a square grill. Shoot the grill to uncover a quad damage 4 - After you've picked up the blue key, there is a ramp leading up to a wall with a blue logo painted on it. Shoot the buttons to the right of the logo and there is a detonation around the corner, jump up on the crates to get a defender sphere. Mission 6 Logistics Complex 1 - Where you deposit the data CD in the glowing square, look around the side of the terminal, between it and the wall and shoot the button. Turn around to see the armour revealed! Mission 7 Tactical Command 1 - Head down the ramp and look up at the ceiling, next to one of the lights is a button you can shoot that reveals a hole in the wall in which you'll discover a handy double damage bonus. 2 - Find a body of water underneath the grill at the overflow tunnel. The small entrance is to the right of the door, Dive in and pick up the rebreather, swim around until you find the cracked panel, shoot it and swim in to pick up the backpack. Mission 8 Research Hanger 1 - In the tall room with many ramps is a crevice in the inner wall. Inside that is a suit of armour, to get to it look way up at the ceiling, find the button in the corner and shoot it, making sure to avoid the falling pipe. As the water rises, the laser fails and you can swim into the crevice! 2 - As you enter the hanger section there are three boxes directly in front of you lit from above with a purple light. Jump up onto the tallest one via the others and shoot down on to it from above. It will shatter and you can drop down and pick up a handy bandolier. Mission 9 Waste Processing 1 - At a turning on the level are two rectangular pipes in the ceiling, tucked away above them is an adrenaline pack. Rocket jumping won't get you up there, the way to get the secret is to shoot the pipe in the corner until the bonus drops down. 2 - In the radiation area, there's a computer room with a large rectangular box in the middle. On the wall are lots of panels, one green one is sticking out slightly, jump up on the unit in front and push the panel to reveal a health secret at the bottom of the unit. Mission 10 Waste Disposal 1-This one is an easy one that is right at the begining of the level. See the little bridge over the water? Jump in and go under the water to see the Super Health. Get it for the first secret. 2-Near the entrance you will find a dead space marine. There is a crack in the floor next to him. Shoot it to make a sizeable hole in the floor. Jump down and swim for a secret and a Double Damage Item. Mission 11 Maintenance Hangars 1 - Behind the two vents in the open area where you start is a passage leading to a small bunker, blow up the three crates, one reveals a gap in the wall where you can rocket jump to. Pick up the ammo pack, there's also some armour on the floor somewhere. 2 - In the room where lids are placed on the containers of waste, pick up the suit but don't use it. When a lid is placed on a container drop onto the lid and look into the mechanism. Shoot the button at the far end and it says something dropped. Wait until the container from the far end of the room emerges and dive into it, having activated the suit, and pick up the invincibility power-up. Mission 12 Ammo Depot 1 - When you come into the ammo depot later in the game from the main hanger, look for the container held in the air by a crane. There's a crack in the bottom of it, shoot at it for a while and a quad damage drops down! 2 - Somewhere there's a blue pod-like chamber against the wall. If you press the appropriate button you can watch it produce a Stroggo guard. Dive in there yourself and you emerge in a Stroggo uniform that lets you advance without having to disable all of the security. Mission 13 Munitions Plant 1 - As you enter the first room after the shuttle bay, the far wall has three panels in it between the lower and upper floors. Shoot the middle one and a button appears. Either rocket jump up to it or use the lift and drop down to push the button. The side wall opens up and a suit of armour is yours for the taking. 2 - In the gondola room, where the red drapes are, the wall panel in the far corner, as you come in, will explode when shot and reveal a gap. Inside there is a bandolier and some more armour for you to pick up before heading off for the final conflict. Mission 14 Black Widow There are no secrets here, just two rather hard bosses to kill. The only tips on offer are keep moving, keep your health up and when you've got rid of the first one, lay a bed of proximity grenades or tesla mines around the big door to dent the Black Widow herself.
